Ringing in the New Year in Times Square
Each year, more than a million people pack Times Square with over a billion more watching from around the world. Want to know what they saw that year? Purple and yellow.
A whole lot of glorious, judgement free purple and yellow.
Jenny McCarthy got the crowds excited with Planet Fitness prizes, while the Judgement Free Stage rocked the Square all night.
The Kickoff:
Jenny took to the mic at the American Music Awards to give people a chance to win tickets to join Planet Fitness in Times Square on New Year’s Eve.
Let’s just say they jumped at that chance...
When you think New Year’s Eve in Times Square, you generally think of confetti flying. As part of the NYE integration, we set up a website and gave people the chance to tell Planet Fitness what they wished for in the new year. Then PF printed 5,000 of those wishes onto individual pieces of confetti, so their wishes can soar over the Square when the clock rolled over to 2016.
Jenny gave away all kinds of PF themed prizes throughout the night, while hosting multiple events, some Planet Fitness themed fun activities, and performances that night on the Judgement Free Stage.
